The Space Structure Of Tnc's R&D Facilities In China

With the continuous deepening of economic globalization and the development of science and technology, The transfer of the TNC's R&D resources in global showing the characteristics of scale. At present, China has become the first choice for country of the TNC's overseas R&D investment, the study of the spatial structure of TNC's R&D institutions in China becoming theoretical and practical significance. In the basis of reorganizing existing literature,we choose the 17 indicators of 31 provinces in the ehole country in 2008 as our data sample and do factor analysis for them,We draw a conclusion that the regional innovation environment factors (soft environment and hardware environment), market factors (market size, market structure) are two influencing factors for the space selection of TNC's R&D investment.By calculating the 31 provinces'regional innovation environmental factors and market factors, and the combined effects of capacity index by weighted sum, we then draw Chinese provinces'field source and circle space structure of TNC's R&D in economic geography by using MapInfo software,draw the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Bohai Bay are the field source of attractting TNC's R&D investment in China.TNC's R&D investment in China show a character of disproportion, more than half of TNC's R&D institutions in China focus on Yangtze River Delta region, so we need to chose the Yangtze River Delta city circle as the object for our further study of spatial structure of TNC's R&D institutions in China. selected 15 indicators of the Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis 16 cities to do factor analysis, we draw the economic strength, quality of life and environmental quality as three influencing factors of TNC's R&D location choice, the combined effects of capacity index by weighted sum and the conclusion that Shanghai is the field source to attract TNC's R&D investment, Suzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuxi are the first circle.
