Facilities agriculture has its features:large-scale and integrated facilities, larger percentage of high techonology, operation highly commercial and industrialization, etc.Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone was a newly adopted national development zone in 2010, which located in the northern part of Shandong, with good public facilities in transportation, commercial finance and education, and facilities agricultural is expected a broad development. Animals, fish and flower cultivation are deleoped sharply in the recent years, the first 3 quarters of 2010 created income 6 million. Nevertheless, the facilities agricultural development of the Binhai economic development zone is still in an early stage, emboding in the small scale of production, marketing, and research system.To develop facilities agriculture, the development zone possesses many advantages:abundant labour force resources and convenient location, wide domestic and abroad consumer market, rich educate resources, and potential for tourism of facilities agriculture. Nevertheless, lack of reasonal development plan, high investment level, and low level of agriculture products, market development and information service, damage to environment and low skill level of peasants would limit the facilities agriculture development. There will be challenges and opportunities in the development of facilities agriculture, and the opportunities are more than challenges.With full analysis of development of facilities agricultural in our country and the development zone, suggestions are offered in this article:explore and complete the development plan for facilities agriculture; promote facilities agriculture scale, and improve agricultural products quality; improve relevant market mechanism, so that a good market environment would lead the development of facilities agriculture; improve social services, to offer directions of local facilities agricultural development; and meanwhile effectively improve the skill level of labor to make the development of facilities agriculture a solid foundation.
