Study On Operational Risk Management Of Commercial Bank

It is an objective fact that there exists operation risk in commercial banks. In recent years, most of cases occurred in commercial banks at home and abroad are in the case of operation risk. How to improve operation risk management system and prevent operation risk becomes the focus. As a nationwide provincial branch of CMBC, Jinan branch always adhere to the overall concept, the development of compliance with safe operation, high quality operation and efficient operation as long-term operation objectives, keep the operation risk management as the main line, and provide effective operation support for the healthy and orderly development of business through the implementation of a series of fine management measures. The study of operation risk management can promote the operation risk management ability of CMBC Jinan branch and can provide reference for other commercial Banks. This paper mainly uses the normative research and case studies method to combine theory with practice, discover the problems, analyze and solve problems. We mainly follow the research path of "phenomenon-status-problems-countermeasures". According to the phenomenon of frequent operation risk events, this paper shows the necessity of operation risk management, then analyzes status quo and existing problems of operation risk management in CMBC Jinan branch, and finally puts forward the countermeasures.My research conclusions are as follows:(1)There exist problems with the operation risk management in CMBC Jinan branch. In personnel management, the problems are unreasonable personnel structure, lacking of talents training mechanism, the personnel quantity to be added. In business management, the traditional management can't meet current management requirements; business management boundary is not clear; the different branches of the management need to be strengthened. There are system and post division problems. In operational links, there exist the problems of compliance operating problems, and the low efficiency of overall business processes, the unreasonable execution of business links.(2) CMBC Jinan branch should take measures to improve operation risk management.①establish sound operation risk management system, including establish sound operation risk management organization, perfect management and operation function of operation department, and strengthen system construction and supervision.②strengthen the management of key operational links, including strengthen accounting management function, regulate business processes and cohesion, strengthen the control of payment and settlement link, solve the operation of risk events effectively.③optimization operation personnel structure and improve the quality of the staff, Including strengthen operating personnel training, personnel assessment and post rotation, and optimize operation personnel quantity and personnel structure.④develop healthy operation risk management culture, including enterprise cultural construction and operation risk management cultural system establishment.
