Comparative Study About Logistics' Pallet Pool System Model Of China And Abroad

From the introduction of the concept of logistics in the early years of reform and opening policy, China has made great progress in logistics. With the extensive interaction with the international economy, it is urgent to enhance the logistics capability. In the logistics, for the important role throughout the process, more and more emphasis has been put on trays. Pallet through-transit can make the logistics process seamless, which can greatly improve the logistic efficiency. But tough questions facing us is that trays could not be effectively recycling, which make the cost very high. In this situation, pallet pool system comes to be an answer. The using of the system in the social activities makes the circulation of the pallet smoothly which improves the efficiency in the logistics a lot, and obviously cut the cost in logistics. Foreign countries have achieve tremendous accomplishment in pallet pool system, but we still in the exploration stage, both in research and in practice. Today, foreign pallet sharing enterprises are seizing our market. Other companies can hardly enter the market if one has entrenched, for the monopolization of the system. To the healthy growth of the pallet pool market and provide some suggestions for local enterprises starting up the pallet pool business, consequently, I emphasis the research on the pallet pool system.First of all, I reviewed the relevant literatures bout pallet pool system to provide theoretical basis for our research.Secondly, I discussed the basic theories about pallet and pallet pool system. I introduced the concept of pallet, classification of pallet, the origin of the pallet, standard of the pallet and the current situation of the pallet in our country; and I introduced the concept of pallet pool system, the development of the system, and the models of pallet pool system and the meaning of developing the pallet pool system.Furthermore, I made the comparative study of the reprehensive pallet pool systems which I chose at home and abroad. I chose CHEP, EPAL, Japanese pallet pool system and ZhongBaoJingLi as the objective for analysis. And I introduced the development process, status, the related program in pallet pool system and the pallet pool system model of these four objectives.Finally, I made the empirical study of the development of pallet pool system in South Korea. I discussed the logistics industry and pallet industry in South Korea; and provided the conclusion that government, scholars in logistics and the relevant corporations played an important role in the development of pallet pool system.In the end of the paper, I provided the recommendations of developing the pallet pool system in China through theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, and I hoped it would be helpful to the construction of pallet pool system in China.
