The Economic Zone On The Western Coast Of The Taiwan Straits And Clustering Development Of Leading Industry

Relations betweem Regional economy and regional development, to a large extent, is the result of the interacal effect among the industrial structures. For any country what is large at economy in the world, the regional industrial structure plays an important part in the economic development which is centred on industry economy. The structure of regional industrial economy is not only a key to the regional economy, but also a penetration through the interconnected national economic growth and development. The modern development of regional economy, therefore, is the adjustment process of regional industrial structure, which is the the selection process of leading industry.Based on particular Economic Zone on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits, the article begins with the describletion regional advantages of the Economic Zone, and further discusses the promotion through industrial structure adjustment to promote economic growth in Fujian Province by the empirical analysis of econometric models since 1990, then, followed with principal component analysis of the core of the industrial structure as the three leading industry issues and developments, and then the technology spillover effect of elements of economic growth in Fujian Province is demonstrated with a VAR model, the last for the unique circumstances of the Economic Zone, to give some corresponding policies and proposals.
