With China's accession to the World Trade Organization, a large international pharmaceutical companies have entered China's pharmaceutical market, the domestic pharmaceutical industry is facing unprecedented challenges. Faced with an increasingly international, the increasingly competitive domestic pharmaceutical market, China's pharmaceutical enterprises, especially large number of small and medium sized pharmaceutical companies to survive in the competition, and competition continue to grow through, is a serious issue.This research starts with the theory of strategic management of small and medium enterprises, outlined a variety definition of small and medium enterprises around the world, the Chinese definition of small and medium enterprises, it's status and role. And then introduced the theory of competitive strategy, including the definition of corporate strategy, characteristics, determinants of competitive strategy, the content of the general competitive strategy. On this basis, combined with the current development of domestic pharmaceutical industry and the competitive environment in the domestic pharmaceutical industry, competition in China's pharmaceutical industry structure was analyzed. A detailed analysis of the choice of competitive strategy for small pharmaceutical companies has be done, and finally made our small and medium sized pharmaceutical companies to achieve strategic way. provide a reference for the companies'implementation of the strategy.
