The Theory And Practice Of Software Project Risk Management In Insurance Company

In insurance company, due to various reasons, many software projects has failure results of cost overruns, project extension or program revenue is not up to expectations. In this paper, it's based on the study about current situation of software project risk management, and began on software project risk management theory.At first, it made a summary of software risk management, including the significance, the method and the process of software of risk management. The second, it combined with the particularity of the insurance business, to analysis of the current situations of X insurance company's software development process and risk management. And then, focus on the problems that X insurance company faced, and put forward the software project risk management methods and steps for X insurance company software: Double project manager of management, one from the user, and one from IT, identify project risks with the improved brain storm method and extended application of WBS, and combined with the insurance industry's own characteristics, the organizational structure and the existing process in the company, to make software project risk management plan and analysis risk and so on. Risk management activities should throughout the project cycle, until the project ends smoothly.Finally, the X insurance company's KPI Management System Project, to be taken as an example, the risk management method is used to identify the specific risk factors and impact on project, and then set corresponding risk countermeasures. Risk management as a continuous measure throughout the whole project, makes the project smooth to achieve the desired objectives, and finally achieved good effect.Through this research, not only can accumulate the software project management experience for domestic insurance company; but also can promote further discussed how to combine the enterprise industry background and enterprise's actual situation, apply software project risk management in the enterprise internal, to make the software project success.
