A Study On The Corporation Culture Construction Of OTIS Elevator Company

Culture management is the highest level of corporation administration, the competition of modern corporation is culture competition. It is necessary for modern corporation to construct excellent corporation culture to enhance the core competition. Meanwhile, corporation culture is an important strategic resource for corporation's survival and development. Under the epoch background of globalization and knowledge economy, the corporation's international and domestic competition is increasingly serious. It is an important choice for a corporation to establish unique corporation culture to improve its operational management and strengthen the market competitiveness.The contents of the dissertation are described as below: firstly, based on the theories of domestic and overseas corporation culture, taking OTIS elevator company as the research object, summarized the theories of corporation culture, such as the concept, definition, characteristics, structure and function of corporation culture. Using the modern management theory and corporation culture theory, analyzed the multinational companies faced with the enterprise culture conflict. Secondly, introduced the basic situation of OTIS, including the history, the organization structure, the operation and the safety situation, found out the problems and put forward the general ideas of the corporation culture construction of OTIS. Thirdly, proposed the framework of the corporation culture construction of OTIS, including the requirement, the basic principles and the goals of culture construction. The important contents in culture construction of OTIS are presented based on the theory of corporation culture.I hope the conclusions of the dissertation are helpful for the corporation culture construction of OTIS and other similar corporations.
