Construction industry is an important pillar industry in China. There has been tens of trillions of money for infrastructure investment each year. The result of investment influences the development of national economics and the enhancement of people's living level greatly. In recent years with the development of technology and economic, the external environment of construction project becomes more complicated, the construction project scale and complexity are on the increase, the schedule risk management of construction project becomes more and more important. The manager faces enormous challenges and higher demands. BIM will undoubtedly bring the construction industry a rare opportunity. BIM is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. It serves as a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its lifecycle. BIM will greatly enhance the degree of integration of construction project, improve efficiency, reduce risk and the adverse impact on the environment, and bring huge benefits for the construction industry. However, currently BIM has not been used to solve the problem of schedule risk management. The research result of this paper will benefit to the improvement of construction project schedule risk management.Basing on analyses and study on construction project schedule risk and specialties of BIM technology, this paper puts forward the model - BIM-CPSRA. Key studies are as follows:Firstly, this paper analyses the existing problems of construction project schedule risk analysis, puts forward the demands for risk analysis and discusses the applicability of BIM technology in construction project schedule risk analysis. Secondly, this paper analyses the two ways of application of BIM in schedule risk analysis, builds up and discusses the model- BIM-CPSRA that includes automated generation of construction schedules based on CBR and schedule risk analysis based on BIM and simulation technology. Finally, it sets up the general implement scheme of BIM-CPSRA, analyzes on the application environment and steps.
