Process Oriented Organization Design Of Quality Management In Manufacturing Enterprises

This paper analyzes the common problems of quality management in operation of manufacturing enterprises: quality organizational design is based on function, lack of consideration f or business processes. O nce t here are quality pr oblems, ev ery functional de partment were buck-passing. Organization of q uality management is usually low efficiency, and is difficult to improve their quality management level.In this paper, literature and empirical research are both used to solve the above problems of m anufacturing e nterprises. T hen this p aper provides process oriented organization de sign o f qua lity m anagement based on analyzing its f unctions, including fundamental structure and operating mechanisms. It details the general steps of quality or ganizational design, and a case of a n electric household e nterprise is given to illustrate the effectiveness of process oriented design of quality management.The research results of this paper are as follows: 1) Proposed process oriented organization of quality management should be designed based on process dimensions and supported with function dimensions. 2) Proposed process oriented organization design of q uality m anagement procedures: qua lity strategy, qua lity m anagement practices, quality team based on qu ality functions, and operating mechanisms. 3) It describes m ajor p arts of or ganization s tructure of quality ma nagement, in cluding cross-function team, qua lity de partment, s enior m anagement, quality d irector, functional departments. 4) It describes operating mechanism of organization structure of quality ma nagement, in cluding performance as sessment m echanism, incentive mechanism, qua lity m anagement i nformation system, qua lity culture a nd s taffs training.
