The Research On ERP System Construction Of Production And Application Of APS

Next to automobile industry, wire and cable industry, is the largest one in the mechanical industry. Wire and cable industry is the basis of the national economy, is widely used in electric power, communications, construction, machinery manufacturing, petrochemical, metallurgy, transportation and almost all the necessary power and signal transmission areas. So far, China's wire and cable industry has reached 400 million tons of copper consumption, 700 billion RMB of sales revenue, about 2 percent of GDP.However, due to the lacks of the technological innovation and high-end products, almost all the domestic enterprises mainly compete in the low-end product field. To stand out from "Red Sea", the cable companies should not only focus on R&D, but also on building cost-leading advantage. An enterprise should adopt effective management means like information construction to reinforce its advantages and even to promote its transition under the keen competition in current market.In this paper, the business requirement concerning the GF Company's production system has been analyzed thoroughly and in detailed. Thereby this paper provides specific elements for enterprise to make decision to choose adaptive ERP system. Meanwhile, a new APS (Advanced Producing Schedule) decision-making model basing on wire and cable producing features has been researched and introduced in this paper for enterprise to solve the long-troubled production scheduling work.This paper also summarized the challenges and risks of ERP implementation, provides insights to other Company to successful implement ERP system.
