Shanghai Cosmopolitan Automobile Accessory Co. (hereinafter as SCAAC) was once located in Hongkou District, Shanghai. As a response to the city governments'planning requement, SCAAC was moving to Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone of Automobile Parts in 2006. With the increasingly development of business, the company's original equipment of productivity has been unable to meet all the requirements. At the time when our main customer, Shanghai GM' was setting up a global engine platform of GF6, we was so luck to be chosen as the major supplier of four main products for this R &D platform. As for this reason, SCAAC has to launch a whole-new project for GF6 supporting of large-scale technical transformation die casting.Since the company's new plant has just been set up for a relatively short time, and not all the facilities are so perfect, so the technological transformation during the course of this project will involve some construction work on the new plant facilities and improvements to some extent. Thus, a huge amount of work with very complex content will be taken into this project. It will also be hard to carry on this project efficiently only by the existing systems of management and rules for working.In this new project, a lot of comprehensive approaches to project management have been used, these methods includes Schedule-Control, WBS, Time-Estimating, Network Diagram, Critical Path Method, The Gantt Chart and Resource-balance etc. All of these It has made the project implementation process more simplified and standardized and also has had a great influence on the management level of our company.GF6 Project is a long time span, in various phases of the project it has different focuses. In this thesis, project plan and human resources are mainly discussed. In the study of project planning, I have put my emphasis on decomposition, network diagrams, time estimates and critical path. When talking about human resource allocation, I have focused on not only the configuration but the principles of qualitative content as well, which includes a combination of the progress of the project plan for human resources adjustment of quantitative analysis.This article is intended to give some advice to improve the overall management on such project by giving some detailed analysis of technology projects and application on some related research. Project management is quite important in the manufacturing enterprises as a critical skill. By the chance of this project, a lot of modern methods will be taken by the company, and the ways of thinking like a project manager will have great affect on the technical and managerial staff. These changes can help the company become a strong competitor in the future.
