Logistics node plays a key role in the operation of the logistics system. Urban logistics has relationship with many aspects such as urban economic, industrial structure, people living and so on, besides, a reasonable planning on logistic nodes can improve logistics efficiency, reduce the cost, promote the economic growth of the cities and improve the traffic environment of the city. For these reasons, the scientific planning on logistics nodes is of great importance.This paper does a research on the significance of Zhengzhou logistics node planning. Freight volume and freight rotation volume of Zhengzhou between 1999 and 2008 are collected before combined prediction models are made to enhance the prediction accuracy, while the weight are determined with entropy to avoid the influence of subjectivity. Combined forecasting method is better than single prediction method after model verification. Then the freight volume and freight rotation volume of Zhengzhou in 2015 are predicted using the combined forecasting method. The demand nodes number is evaluated by using the quantitative method, based on which qualitative analysis is used to verify the rationality of Zhengzhou logistics nodes planning numbers. Then this paper studies on the nodes scale problem, including how to analysis the influence factors and how to calculate the scale respectively while the land is sorted into production land and construction land using logistics quantity conversion production land scale method. Then the calculation formulas of logistics construction land are built up referring to the rate of logistic parks area to total production area. But in practice, there are many external environment affects influencing the size of logistics area. So, in the end of the paper, amended plan is proposed, which gives correction factors to each influencing factor such as land using, investment, traffic and transportation, and policy and so on. The factor which is good for the logistics development will have a bigger correction coefficient, otherwise, it will have a smaller one. Eventually the land area of Zhengzhou logistics node in 2015 is calculated.
