In this paper, I have learnt the structure and working principle of the WDM-PON system, and have done some researches on the principle and related technologies of the WDM-PON system. For the WDM-PON system's large capacity, carring many kinds of service, providing high bandwidth, and the future telecom access network service's trends are open and high-reliable, the WDM-PON system adopts the ATCA platform for multi-service carring, using the CGL as the multi-service carring operating system. In order to shorten the development cycle of the system's multi-service carring, enhance the system's reliability and robustness, we make use of the embedded database system to manage and save datas of the WDM-PON's system.For implementing the WDM-PON system, we need to solve a series of key technologies. This paper focuses on the research of the system protection, achieving system software function modules through transplantation, the embedded database's designing and applying and so on. This paper proposes a protection scheme for the WDM-PON system's feed fiber, studies the technology for transplanting software from the VxWorks operating system to the CGL operating system, and achieves the CLI function, and discusses the design and high-reliability applications of the embedded database from studying some data structures which made by the system software requirements,In chapter 1 of this thesis, through researching and analyzing the status of studying WDM-PON technology at home and abroad, It proposes the necessity for the WDM-PON system's multi-service carrying technology. In chapter 2, the paper introduces some basic knowledge related to the WDM-PON system's multi-service carring, focusing on the WDM-PON system's working principle, the OLT platform, the operating system, the embedded database systems and other related technologies which related to the system's multi-service carring. In chapter 3,the paper briefly introduces the multi-service which the WDM-PON system needs to carry on,the QoS mechanisms, and discusses the link protection and system software relating technologies for multi-service carring. In chapter 4, the paper introduces the work for studying the key technologies of the WDM-PON system during the graduation project, briefly introducing the proposed feeder fiber protection scheme's working principle, as well as the CLI's transplantation, and then discusses the embedded database's design and application. In chapter 5,we tests and analyzes the WDM-PON system's key technologies which were studied, and we concludes that the studied key technologies can meet the requirement of the WDM-PON system's multi-service carring well.In chaper 6,we summarizes the paper, and puts forward some suggestion for further improving and optimizing the key technologies which was studied in this paper.
