In recent years, with the rapid development of network security technology andinformation hiding technology, the digital watermarking technology, as a new one, hasbeen wildly used in copyright protection, information sources authentication,information integrity verification and so on. Different from encryption technology,digital watermarking technology embeds some secret information into the originaldocumental information of the multimedia through a certain algorithm, withoutaffecting the contents and values of the original multimedia file, and meantime it's noteasy to be perceived by naked eyes. Therefore, the algorithm must ensure theimperceptibility, robustness and security of the digital watermarking.This article selects digital image as the carrier information, the presently populartwo-value-image as the watermarking information. The focus and innovation of thispaper is that before the carrier image and watermark image being wavelet transformed,both have gone through the Arnold image scrambling transformation and got two keys,which ensures the data security, makes the energy of watermark image bebetter-distributed in the carrier image and helps enhance the imperceptibility androbustness. That, combining the characteristics of human visual system, theembedding position is chosen through a scientific analysis, also heightens theimperceptibility.In addition, another innovation lies in that when in image restoration during theprocess of extracting the scrambling image containing watermark and watermarkimage, an improved Arnold inverse transform, instead of the periodicity of Arnold, isadopted. And the experiments show that, this can effectively reduce the complexity ofalgorithm.The MATLAB7.0simulation results show that, the proposed watermarkingembedding algorithm and the extraction algorithm is not only feasible, but also thewatermark gained has better imperceptibility, robustness and security, and meanwhilecan effectively reduce the amount of computation.
