With the development of navigation technology, the safety factor at sea has been improved a lot. But with the bad weather, such as at night or in fog, it often has maritime accidents, even with the radar system. If we can monitor the sea condition real-time and take timely warning measures for other ships at night or in foggy weather, we can reduce the loss.The infrared thermal imaging technology with ship navigation has been researched. The night vision on navigation system which based on S3C6410processor has been designed. Infrared night vision technology and image process technology has been used to realize navigational aid and find other ships at night or fog weather. Enhance the safety of ships sailing at night or other inclement weather conditions. It has very important sense for navigation and crewmen's life.First, the development and principles of night vision technology has been studied, the infrared thermal image technology has been used to design the system. The target with low light conditions can be observed through night vision technology. The optical image information which obtained, make the target be observed by our eyes. Now there are three categories of night vision technology which has mature and put into use. They are night vision technology, active infrared night vision technology, and infrared thermal imaging technology. The night vision on navigation and anti-piracy system is using infrared thermal imaging technology.Second, night vision navigation system based on S3C6410processor has been designed. V4L2video driver standards has been uses to acquire the infrared image at sea, decoder chip TVP5150can be used to convert the analog video signal to digital image signal which can be identified by S3C6410processor. Then the infrared video images of scenes at sea can be collected.Third, the infrared video images of scenes at sea had been researched. With the complexity background at sea, the infrared images which collected by the system are Low contrast, blur, and big noise. In order to highlight the ship target, weaken or remove noise and background information, some measures were taken to suppress noise, improve signal to noise ratio of the image, enhance the edge characteristics of ship targets. Then ship targets can be detected and identified finally at sea.Finally, if the ship target within a certain distance can be detected, we can use XF-S4240to take an alarm. Crewmen can take measures with other ships, then auxiliary ships sail safety in night and in foggy weather, to reduce the accidents of maritime navigation. Make sure ships sail in night and in foggy weather stable and safely.
