Web Report Research Support For Multidimensional Data Analysis And Realization

With the development of information technology, enterprise's information system generates a large number of transactional data. How to make a strategic decision depending on these data, show results in a simple and easy way, help the enterprise's Decision-makers to develop Strategic direction, stimulative business development, enhance the enterprise's competitiveness, and achieve greater economic benefits, it becomes the concern of enterprise's managers. The appearing of Data Warehouse and OLAP becomes the effective way to it.The current commercial OLAP display tools is expensive, code conservative. many small and medium-sized enterprises are afraid to use, open source OLAP display tools does not provide a complete set of solutions. Therefore this article put forward to Web Report System to support Multi-dimensional Analysis. Liking conventional Report System, this system need to contain the report designer, a report manager, report generator.Using the report designer and report generator separation mechanism.Report designer generate the RDL file using the drag mode, report generator generate the corresponding Web Report file by parsing RDL file and calling the JPivot table component, Flex chart component. The dataSource of Flex chart component and JPivot table component is OLAP server supported by XML/A (Mondrian or Microsoft SQL Server for Analysis). report manager save,update, delete, retrieve reports.This article first introduces the definitions of the OLAP, JPivot, Mondrian, ExtJS and other related technical, the working flow of JPivot, the architecture of Mondrian, Analysis the home and abroad status of OLAP, Determines the Research contents. Secondly, provides system structure of Web Report System support to Multi-dimensional Analysis, designs function module. Lastly, introduces the process of from report design to report generation in detail.using ExtJS framework and Struts framework, completed the coding of this system. It is proved that the system has been achieved the expected requirements, This Multi-dimensional Analysis Report System realizated OLAP operation like roll-up, drill, sliced, diced. Finally, the work has been summarized and outlooked.
