Scientific research has been a new method and model engaged in research activities, which is called e-Science. In fact, e-Science provide the environment and platform for informationalized scientific research, e-Science puts the distributed and global cooperation on practice through the massive use of computer resources and high-performance computering, allowing for research and research activities of different fields to develop specific scientific research and application. So depth study and exploration of e-Science not only extends the overall sight of the science, but also help to identify new characteristics of modern science in the information age.First, this paper introduces the basic theory of e-Science, workflow and workflow management system, and detailedly exposits and analyzes e-Science Research.Second, through investigation and research of the related concepts of packaging technology for astronomy, based on a release instance of astronomical data, this paper designs and implements a cone research service supporting both SOAP style and REST style. And on this basis of that, this paper completely discusses how to achieve the service with web service and how to achieve the application with the Common Execution Architecture.Third, through the full detail of Nebulas overall framework, it detailedly discusses that how to invoke a web service with the Nebulas engine. Then, according to the Internet and Web requirements of Nebulas, this paper described how to design the graphical user interface for design the scientific workflow within web browsers. Finally, this paper achieves the graphical user interface of the scientific workflow, and the result shows that the design is successful.Fourth, the paper compares the two service encapsulating technologies within the experimental environment of AXIS and CEA. For the cone search instance, this paper compares service based on Web Service and service based on CEA. And through the comparison experiment of query time and call time, the performance of web service and CEA packaging technology is compared, so that it summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Web Services and CEA.This paper explores the service computing and service encapsulating technology in e-Science, which discusses in detail the service packaging for astronomy. And the service call and system based on scientific workflow is designed and implemented. The final operating result shows that the service design is successful.
