In the modern power system, with the use of a large number of the powerelectronic equipments, especially the various kinds of nonlinear, impact, volatility loadused more widely, which polluted power system badly by harmonic. Active PowerFilter (APF) is recognized as the most effective means of Administrative harmonic andimproved the quality in power system, has become a relatively new research hot spot inthe power electronic technology application.In this thesis, first introduced the basic concepts, produce, hazards, standard ofharmonic in power system After compared the harmonic control of two commonly usedmeans between passive filter technology and active power filter, it is shown that activepower filter technology can be seen in the side of filter effect, the dynamic response,operability are better than passive filter technology. By the way, this thesis introducedthe present research situation and development trend of APF in a brief.Then this thesis introduced several kinds of active power filter classificationmethod, and analyzed the principle of the series type APF and the parallel type APF,combined with the subject, a10KVA APF was developed which adopted the scheme ofthree-phase parallel type APF. After modeled and analyzed three-phase parallel typeAPF, the three key technology of APF are introduced in detail:, aiming at this topic inthe inspection of the harmonic current, adopted thei p iqdetection method whichbased on instantaneous reactive power theory, adopted the hysteresis comparisoncontrol method in the compensation current control, designed a fuzzy PI adjustmentmethod which based on a tradition PI adjustment method in DC side voltage control.According to the performance index of10kVA parallel type three-phase APF, aexperimental prototype was designed.. The main circuit of the hardware part, includedthe design of the converter part, DC side part, input and output part. The control circuitand detection part, included the design of the control chip and the analog to digitalconverter, the design of display part, the design of synchronization signal and phaselock times frequency signal produce part, the design of voltage current detection part,On DC side, it is adopted the fuzzy PI control. In the thesis, various parts of the circuit,the related parameters, component selection, the control design process are given indetail.Finally, this thesis used simulation software MATLAB to model10kVAthree-phase parallel type APF, and tested the choice of harmonic current detectionmethod and compensation current control methods. From the effect of compensation, Itis proved that the method which shown in this thesis is correctly. After simulation of thefuzzy PI adjustment method on DC side voltage, the result is shown that by this method,the overshoot is lesser, the response is quicker, especially in the situations of the loadmutations, which can meet the controlling requirements of DC side voltage, its effect is obviously superior to traditional PI regulation method.
