In this background Series-Parallel Compensated UPS is appeared as a new type of UPS system. Related to the traditional double conversion UPS, Series-Parallel Compensated UPS system have made a breakthrough in composition and energy conversion efficiency. It not only compensates the nonlinear load reactive current and harmonic current, but also harmonics of grid voltage and fundamental deviation. It has the advantages of high efficiency, overload, output capability and comprehensive adjust capacity of power quality. Series-Parallel Compensated UPS is the ideal UPS system according with the requirements of green energy devices.This paper firstly describes classification, situation, domestic and international status and direction of development. Then it analyzes the overall structure and working principle of the Series-Parallel Compensated UPS. Delta converter takes direct current SPWM control programs. The main converter takes hybrid control strategy which introduces the repetitive control in the base of the voltage and current double closed loop control. Finally, makes the simulation of Delta converter, main converter and the whole system using MATLAB verifying the feasibility of the two converter control programs.It designs Series-Parallel Compensated UPS system on the basis of theoretical analysis and simulation. It designs auxiliary power supply, reference sinusoidal power supply, driver protection circuitry, control peripheral circuits. It gives the flow charts of main program, the AD sampling, generate reference sine wave, the timer interrupt of the SPWM and does related experiments. Finally it analysis the results of simulation and experiment and verifies that the Series-Parallel Compensated UPS can improve the grid-side power factor, compensate for mains voltage and stable output voltage.
