The Design And Application Of A Multi-function Reader

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, is a non-contact information identification and collection technology. In the RFID system, the reader reads and writes the information in the labels and transmits the information to users or the server to do the further processing, at the same time it write informations to update the labels. The reader is the most important equipment in the RFID system and plays a converting material information into virtual digital information role. It combines electromagnetics, microelectronics, software engineering, information security and other important subjects.This paper will research a visual, portable,multi-funtion RFID reader device.Firstly familiar with the electromagenetic theory and wireless identification theory foundation, and analysis the reader's structure, then research the reader from whole to parts. The reader's concept, classification, function are described in this paper detailly, introducing the important theories which are needed to use in this paper, and with some diagrams to explain these theories.After clear the concept and function of the reader, this paper will be designed to do serious demand analysis, including hardware requirements and software requirements analysis.Studying the feasibility of each module and design of the hardware circuit of module:LCD circuits, power circuit, the USB interface circuit and so on. Windows Embedded CE6.0operating system will be transplanted after complete the hardware design, and customized software modules, programming the code to make hardwares initialization, and the driver of each module. Finally, in the Windows Embedded CE6.0operating system, testing the reader until to reach the desired results.Figure51table8reference37...
