With the development and wide application of the oil mist lubrication technology, in which oil mist concentration measurement technology becomes more and more important. This thesis mainly studies the oil mist concentration measurement device which can be used for diesel engine.In the operation of diesel engine, when the temperature is higher the lube oil will produce oil gas, if the oil gas in the crankcase is mixed with the cold air, oil mist will be formed, when the oil mist concentration exceeds the prescribed standards, it will cause the explosion of crankcase, which can bring serious financial losses, and cause a great personal injury, so the study of the lube oil mist concentration device is very important.Along with the development of the shipping industry, the development technology of the oil mist detector has been updated, now again appeared the safety testing device of new marine diesel engine. The thesis compares and analyses overseas and domestic research status of oil mist concentration of the probe research, there are many foreign oil mist concentration detector products, but domestic products with independent intellectual property are lack. And these detection devices have their defects, some reaction speed is slow, some high cost, some have defects in communication of the monitoring system, and most don't have networking functions. Therefore, this thesis proposes the research and implementation of oil mist concentration detection alarm device based on MCU.This design in reference to the British GRAVINER MK5OIL MIST DETECTOR and GRAVINER MK6OIL MIST DETECTOR is proposed, analyses and compares their advantages and disadvantages, and put forward my own design. The functions of the oil mist detector warning device meets the specifications of Rules and regulations for the construction and classification of sea-going steel ships. Finished the design of hardware and software of the detecting part and controlling part, and realized the corresponding function by debugging the circuit board.The main work which has been finished in this thesis is as follows:(1) Compared the type of the existing domestic and foreign oil mist concentration detector, which provided reference for this topic research; and also analyzed the reason that caused the temperature higher of the crankcase oil mist concentration and the conditions of the crankcase explosion, which further improved the design;(2) The hardware designs of the oil mist density detector were completed, including power supply circuit, data acquisition and signal processing circuit, light detection device, communication module, alarming and displaying section, etc.;(3) The software of the oil mist density detector was finished;(4) The human-machine interface in PC was completed, and realized the real-time monitoring to the device;(5) After finishing the circuit board design, debugged every parts of the circuit board, including displaying section, serial ports, etc., every part has achieved the design requirement.
