Scientific reports are extremely important aspect of science communication. The rapid development of science and technology has brought tremendous change to our lives, and the demand for scientific information has increased dramatically, so scientific reports from the mass media have been concerned. However, with the increasing of scientific reports in recent decades, pseudo-scientific reports and false science news etc. have frequently appeared. Lack of scientific spirit and the human spirit, serious news sensationalization phenomena, and deficiency in integrated scientific information, are the main problem which scientific reports of Chinese media exposed in recent decades; discourse difference between science and the media, deficiency of civic scientific literacy and media literacy, change of the economic environment in new era and Chinese unique traditional culture, are the main reason to result in scientific reporting errors of Chinese media. This paper takes1979-1999's reports on Qigong of the People's Daily and NO.11Talking takes all with Zhang Wuben participation from Hunan TV as the case study, quantifies the statistical by use of data and charts, makes a cultivation analysis on transmission content, has a reflection on scientific reports of Chinese media, tries to find out the reason of scientific reporting errors of Chinese media from macroscopic and microcosmic perspective, and proposes countermeasures.
