Design And Implementation Of Agent Software Of Network Management System Of Exchange Based On SNMP

With the rapid development of telecommunication in our country, the scale of telecom network is expanding constantly. The kind and quantity of the equipment is also increasing. The network is becoming more and more complex. What's more, manufacturers are numerous and their equipment lacks standard interfaces, so it's even harder for us to manage the network, which also hampers the development of the network itself.In order to solve the problem, the author examines the manager-agent model based on the simple network management protocol (SNMP) carefully, designs and realizes an agent software based on SNMP in accordance with the management requirements of switching equipments and some specific details,This agent software is characterized by its good stability, compatibility and portability. It has solved the problem that the communication protocol of the comprehensive telecom network management system is not compatible to each other. And it has realized the comprehensive management of the switching equipment of certain telecommunication manufacturer.
