| Measurement is the base for the work involved with technology, quality and economy in national economy development and is implemented in the entire process of the production and management of enterprises to provide accurate and dependable measure data for new product development, raw material detection, production process control, product quality test, cost accounting and responsibility assessment. Measurement management is important in the range of measurement work. With the sustainable development of industries and enterprises and high automation of industry, the measurement information management system is greatly needed to automatically implement work.In this paper, the work involved in the development of one custom-made measurement information management system for an enterprise is described. The system design includes the survey of information management system at home and abroad, analysis of customer demands for measuring instrument management system, research and design on overall framework, data base, business work flow and safety of the system, analysis and description of the functions of 13 subsystems and technological options in which the problems and technics involved with the work flow implementation, binary file storage, WSS (Windows Sharepoint service) and MOSS(Microsoft Office sharepoint Server), WebPart, ADO.NET and dynamic data source are mainly concerned. The system implementation includes implementing system functions by using the above described Web program in the platform of.NET, obtaining seamless integration of the system with enterprise information platform after the study and configuration of WSS3.0/MOSS and putting Web program onto the enterprises web sites or child sites and implementing the deployment, configuration and adjustment of the overall system.The measurement information management system designed in this paper has been put into use in enterprises.
