With the rapid development of science and technology, modern monitoring has gradually become an indispensible and efficient production for large scale petroleum enterprises. As one of the most important modern monitoring techniques, rotating machinery condition monitoring ensures large generating units a safe and efficient operation, also an effective means to prevent fatalities. Therefore, it is significant to study the application of real-time monitoring and network technology in rotating machinery condition monitoring to realize monitoring and diagnosis intelligent, improving the efficiency of enterprises and facilitating management.According to informatization requirement and management situation of large rotating equipment in Urumqi Petrochemical Corporation, we designed a set of large rotating equipment online monitoring system with a friendly and practical operator interface. Based on system requirement analysis and concept of software engineering, it established the system framework and proposed a design plan for the real-time online monitoring systematic server and client software. The system includes workstation, database server and client server, we focus on the design of server and client server in this paper. The design will assist users, administrators and policy makers to grasp the dynamic of equipment running status. What's more, it can ease labor intensity, raise efficiency and save costs.Online monitoring system facilitated integrated management for equipment, it provided a modern monitoring function, ensured more reliable and strong data to diagnose fault, avoided man-made factors caused by mistakes. The research showed that the system served the Urumqi Petrochemical Company well, obviously improved health care efficiency and met the needs of the company.
