As the distribution of digital contents expand with the rapid growth of Internet usage, a scientific way to protect digital copyrights will greatly promote the progress.Based upon the analysis of achievements in DRM (Digital Rights Management) standardization, this paper divides the DRM architecture into 3 bottom-up layers including security infrastructure layer, transporting/handling layer and business layer. Aim at the issues involved in the DRM systems such as content safety, privacy, user control and interoperability, this paper elaborates on the techniques of trusted encryption, direct anonymous attestation (DAA) and key migration after which a TPM-based DRM model named TDRM (Trusted Digital Rights Management) is proposed. Established on the research of trusted storage/transport, DAA, Role-based access control and Delegation of authority, the TDRM model gives a series of solutions towards digital rights protection under security threatened scenarios. In consideration of interoperability and service oriented resource requirements, design pattern of process and services advocated by Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is introduced. TDRM is implemented as webservices of rights issuer, content encryption/transport and DRM Agent subsystems. Low-level commands of TPM are also encapsulated in webservice which significantly reduces the difficulty of system integration. To define the interfaces among the subsystems,7 sets of feature relationship is analyzed to support the final designing. The paper ends up with the building and publishing of Apache Axis2 webservices for TDRM.
