As one of the 3G standard, Wimax technology has attracted significant attention and interest from communication industry because of its long transmission range, high transmission rate, and mobility support. On the basis of traditional multicast service, the 802.16e standard defined the support of multicast/broadcast service (MBS) clearly, MBS is applicable to multimedia service in mobile network, although the standard defined the group rekeying algorithm MBRA, but the inherent limitations of it may hinder the further development of the MBS.This paper first described the theoretical basis for knowledge of Wimax multicast service and analysed the existing classical key management scheme in secure multicast for Wimax, summed up the security and efficiency problems need to solve.Against the forged session key and the key update communication overhead and other shortcomings in the old schemes, on the basis of combination of the"hash salt"and LORE(linear ordering of receivers), this paper designed a new key management scheme in secure multicast for Wimax named SGMBL(A Secure Group Key Management Scheme Based On LORE For Wimax) to solve the existing problems. This scheme allows to rekeying the key materials while users leave the group, and does not introduce any forward secrecy and backward secrecy problems, finally the security of the proposed scheme was proved, and the simulation results showed it has obvious advantages in communication compared to the existing programs. In order to adapt the members frequent operations in the large Wimax groups, on the basis of"multiple secret sharing"and"secret multicast mechanism", this paper designed a new kind of rekeying scheme in secure multicast for Wimax, which is suitabled for period rekeying strategy named SGMBM(A Secure Group Key Management Scheme Based On Multiple Secret Sharing For Wimax). This scheme can obviously reduce the waste of key materials and reduce the number of communication cost in the group, finally the security of the scheme was proved, and the simulation results showed it has obvious advantages in communication compared to the existing programs.
