In this dissertation, based on the Internet of Things technology, distributed optical fiber sensing technology and embedded technology, we implement B-DOFS (Distributed Optical Fibre Sensor based on brillouin scatter)with the function of The Internet Of Things(IOT),on embedded platform. According to the hierarchical model of IOT, a design approach for an Application management software system is achieved.The Distributed Optical Fibre Sensors on perception layer of IOT in this dissertation are based on BOTDR and BOTDA. A Data acquisition system in optical fiber sensor is included by FPGA and embedded-system platform. To improve the system's real-time. performance, reliability and concurrency, we use I/O Interrupt Control mechanism and Concurrency Control mechanism in low-level driver. And we also use Linux-based multi-threaded technology, Asynchronous I/O mechanism, thread synchronization and mutex technology to implement embedded applications in embedded programming. The Application management software system is the focus of this paper, which can divide into four parts:the service, the client, the network management side and the control center. These subsystems with different functions are running on different operating system. Considering the data processing capacity and network capacity, the client adopts a mixed structure of the B/S and C/S. This solution can guarantee the efficiency of data collection but also ensure the rapidness of data transmission.Finally, we assess the performance of BA8002 and BR8002 with the function of IOT in engineering test. Proven, B-DOFS as the core of IOT realizing real-time detection of ambient temperature, stress, crack. vibration can be widely used in the monitoring of cables, pipelines, bridges, reservoirs, dams, etc.
