Project cost management is project team to ensure that in allowing the budget range to complete a project management process must be carried out. The current company of our country software is generally small, the software project manager mostly pay attention to the progress of the project and quality management, the neglect of software project cost management. Each project will be in a different way by the scope, time and cost target constraint. This article from the project management perspective, for J company's existing software project cost estimation method, process were discussed, and some common classical cost estimation methods such as COCOMO model, analogous estimating, from the lower to the upper estimate method, measuring the size of software such as research, analysis the application of each method characteristic. The author based on these methods, puts forward a set of suitable for the Chinese small and medium-sized software enterprises more practical software project cost estimation method. The method is based on the COCOMO model, combined with the actual situation of J company, the software cost factor localization analysis correction, construction to meet application requirements of J COCOMO-FP software cost estimation model, for the enterprises of the same type of project cost estimate to provide reference. Finally, the author also used to design a software project cost estimation method, for J company" wireless integrated network management system CMS software development project, formed a complete project cost estimation scheme.
