Infrared thermal imager is a device that can detect the differences of temperature and emissivity of natural features, and then this electrical signal is converted into visible images. It is a two-dimensional Infrared thermal imaging device, the principle is by using the different of radiation of the temperature and emissivity of the heat between target and environment, it can detect and display the energy density of infrared energy density, radiated.This subject,"The Research of Interface Technology based on FPGA in Infrared Imager". The purpose of the design based on FPGA hardware which the processing speed is fast, easy to implement large-scale systems, facilitate to the secondary development is to design the interface for infrared imager, including USB2.0, LCD, VGA interface. USB2.0is suitable for fast real-time data transmission, easy to connection with a PC as a digital interface, further digital signal processing. The LCD is suitable for hand-held portable and other infrared applications, it has a small size and high resolution interface. The price of VGA interface is low and is suitable for industrial monitoring applications.The design based on System architecture and transport protocols of USB2.0, LCD, VGA, infrared camera infrared collect image and display. The controller is the FPGA of EP1C6Q240C8,the interface chip is CY7C68013A-128AXC in USB2.0design and ADV7123in VGA, AT056TN53V1TFT-LCD is the LCD interface. In each separate interface, main subjects are scheme designing, functions of each parts in scheme, chip features, core details of realization.On the hardware, have completed hardware circuit, including the power supply circuit, clock circuit, reset circuit, EEPROM, peripheral circuit of USB2.0chip and VGA interface chip, the LCD interface circuit and other circuits.On the software, have complete the design of USB2.0interface chip firmware in Keil-uVision environment, including the initialization of the Slave FIFO mode, the port of configuration and three kinds of interface timing controller in Quartus Ⅱ environment using verilog-HDL language.
