Great change has been taken place in learning mode as the development in modern education. The interaction of teaching and learning on internet/intranet is clearly of more advantages than that in traditional education. However, it is very newly research direction in education. This thesis is a practical step in e-learning how to construct an easy-to-use network-based platform for multimedia interactive teaching and learning on internet.Firstly, this thesis discuss several communicate ways in e-learning mode, the relationship between teaching and learning and approach to perform the characteristics of e-learning. Also, the key characteristics of e-learning have been presented as network-based, multimedia, sharable, personal in this article. In order to implement these characteristics, they develop an e-learning networked platform-- Xingjian baying college's e-learning networked platform.Then, this thesis mainly discusses the architecture and function of the e-learning networked platform. The platform consists of exercise management subsystem, system management subsystem, online test management subsystem, online Interactive video-teaching subsystem, online questioning subsystem, forum and tools. The exercise management subsystem can provide exercise file upload and download, online exercise query, online exercise scoring. The system management subsystem can keep system secure and personalize student's learning information. The online test management subsystem can dynamically make test paper from test database and score online test answer sheet. The online Interactive video-teaching subsystem can transfer and play many kinds of stream media. Moreover,Personal or broadcast Interactive video-teaching also can be implemented. Furthermore, online questioning, forum and applied tools are offered in this platform. So, the platform can provide an easy-to-use network-based multimedia interactive teaching and learning platform.This thesis discuss the new characteristics of modern network-based education, present analytic models, solution techniques and construct an actual system based on ASP technique, sql server database and b/s architecture to develop these analyses. And they show that the system is of applied research value in a sens.
