Photonic crystal fiber sensor has a lot of excellent sensing characteristics and design flexibility, you can change the structure parameters such as pitch and diameter of the structure of photonic crystal fiber to enhance the detection sensitivity, main works are as follows:1. Do a review of fiber optic sensors using for detection applications on the domestic and international bridge. This paper also tells the fine characteristics of sensing and discusses the principle of horizontal detection system, the classification of the fiber optic sensors.2. Introduce structural optimization theory and optimal design steps. The paper also introduces ANSYS optimization methods and optimization tools.3. This stress builds the parametric model on the transverse cross section of photonic crystal fiber. The paper makes use of optimization module of ANSYS to analysis the model. Zero-order method is used to get the optimum cross-section, finally we obtain optimal cross sections of photonic crystal fiber.4. Research on packaging technology of fiber grating sensor. Photonic crystal fiber in package is embedded in concrete dam to carry on the destroy test, The experiment result is compared to the resistance strain gauge detecting result of dam. Photonic crystal fiber grating sensors used for engineering model test is explored to provide reference of preparation of optical fiber strain sensor.
