With the rapid advancement of technology and the increasing demand of customer, services Network convergence and interworking based on IMS has become hot spot for researching. Traditional circuit-switched network will coexist with packet-switched network based On IMS for a long period because of technology and cost. Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is still the telecom and telephone network for interworking all over the world nowadays. IMS is based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol, and PSTN is controlled by ISUP (Integrated Service Digital Network User Part) protocol. One key point for interworking between IMS and PSTN is to realize the interworking between SIP and ISUP.This paper focuses on test suite description method and test implementation techniques of SIP and ISUP Interworking. Through the analysis of the ISUP protocol and SIP protocol characteristics as well as SIP and ISUP protocol interworking mechanism, Powerful TTCN-3 testing language is selected as the test suite's description method for SIP and ISUP protocol interworking. The use of common modules in the test suite simplifies the development of the test suite and reflects the reusability and versatility of the testing technology. TTCN-3 allows the dynamic specification of concurrent test configurations, which make it easy to implement SIP and ISUP protocol interworking test configurations. To achieve the demand of test suite implementation, the article designs a platform, which is based on Eclipse. It integrates the development environment, compile and execution environment and the management environment for TTCN-3 test suite. The system not only has friendly interface, full-featured and scalable character, but also has obvious advantages in supporting for multi-machine distributed test. It can speed up the TTCN-3 abstract test suite development, deployment, implementation and ultimately improve the efficiency of test. Finally, according to the structure of the TTCN-3 test system, the article elaborates the automated testing process of SIP and ISUP interworking. At the same time through analysis of test suite execution results, the testing technology is verified to be correct and valid.With the test system and test sets, it is convenient to test the SIP and ISUP interworking function of MGCF. At the same time it is significant to ensure MGCF of high quality and efficiency.
