Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, and the rapid take-off of economy, the type of vehicles become more and more, and the problems followed can be imagined. To manage these vehicles safer, more efficient and energy-efficient, it requires to monitor these vehicles. In this paper, the study is closely related to the vehicle monitoring system. The vehicle monitoring system integrates of multi-disciplinary technology, especially computer communication technology. The system consists of three parts, vehicle terminal, control centers and clients. Where the implementation vehicle terminal needs to upgrade periodically, in order to upgrade each remote terminal easily and efficiently, the designers designed a remote upgrade system for vehicle terminal perform file (VTPF).The VTPF remote upgrade system is a subsystem of vehicle monitoring system, which needs to continuous improvement in the process of using. The system is same as the vehicle control system, which belong to wide-area monitoring system, its system structure is divided into three parts, vehicle terminal, control center and client, and integrate the technologies of GPRS, GPS, GIS, data communications and software design, and so on. The purpose of remote vehicle terminal is to upgrade the system of every perform file without people go to the scene, but directly through the control center by the user, what makes remote online upgrade economy and efficient. The main work of this paper is design monitoring software components for this system, including the software architecture design, database design, data protocol interaction design and multi-threaded, multi-thread-safe asynchronous communication and other key parts. Therefore, the monitoring center can communicate with a large number of terminals, and upgrade them, simultaneously.
