In the process of mining operation on fully-mechanized mining face, mine dust is borninevitably. To avoid dust explosion and guarantee mine production safety, the automatic mistcontrol system tracks dust sources promptly and controls related apparatus to spray water inaccordance with some requirements automatically. Research and development of the remotemonitoring subsystem is significant for monitoring the working status of this spray system inreal-time, remotely and conveniently.This thesis analyzes the subsystem actual demands based on introduction of the sprayingcontrol system, and then designs the whole structure of monitoring software, which includesmonitoring-computer interaction module, data communication module, and database module.The monitoring-computer interaction module displays monitoring information and providesoperation platform for monitoring worker. The data communication module completescommunication with host spray controller. The database module manages mist system’srunning data.The software completes many tasks, such as real-time data acquisition, data processing,data storage, data display, querying historical database, sending upper commands to host spraycontroller, and so on, which is based on Windows Operating System and messageprogramming technique and multi-threaded programming technique by the help of MFCprogramming framework and database management system. The VC control, GDI drawing,and OLE automation technologies are adopted in human-computer interaction module todisplay monitoring information and complete human-computer interaction. The TCP serverprogram is designed to make remote data communication with host controller, based onClient/Server network architecture and WSAAsyncSelect socket model. The SQL Server2008 is applied to manage the system database. Multi-threaded programming technique and ADOinterface function are introduced in access procedure to update or query the system database.Through Ethernet communication experiment of the remote monitoring subsystem, theresult shows that the data can be transmitted between PC and host controller in real-time,bidirectional, and reliably. The application layer protocol is used to checking the network dataerrors and hardware failures. The monitoring software displays information and saves data inreal-time, which are locations and status of the fully mechanized coal mining operations,locations and status of the spraying points, parameters of spraying working, water pressure,water level, real-time trajectory about coalwinningmachine working and hydraulic supportshifting, face lighting, and so on. Besides, the software can transfer upper-set sprayingworking parameters to spraying field. What is more, the software provides friendly interfacesfor monitoring personnel to set spraying parameters and query historical database and printdata report. In a word, the monitoring software achieves laboratory running and meets itsrequirement.
