Now the high-speed railway in our country is in the rapid development of golden age. By the end of 2010, China's high-speed rail operation mileage has reached 8358 km, there will be 4715 kilometers into production in 2011. Along with the large-scale construction of high speed railway in china, the original communication network can not meet the need of high speed railway. Therefore, China's high-speed railway needs a set of equipment with high-speed operation environment for integrated communication system to provide a safe, reliable, high speed voice, data communications and other integrated services, and satisfy the high speed railway train control scheduling, business communication, emergency needs.From the end of last century, our country has begun the study of GSM-R Technology. At present, GSM-R has been applied in the more general speed railway and Passenger Dedicated Lines. Railway digital mobile communication system which is based on GSM-R has laid a solid foundation for China railway informatization and automation development. The XX high-speed railway which is one of a number of high-speed railway construction, has put forward higher requirements on GSM-R mobile communication network. Research the structure principle and performance of application on GSM-R communication system, and improvement of GSM-R system in high speed railway communication information system application have very important application value.At first, this paper systematically describes China railway communication system and the status of the GSM-R technology development. And then, we Introduce the basic structure and working principle of GSM-R communication system and the business function on GSM-R system. Combined with the specific environment of XX high-speed railway, we analyze the modern communication system performance requirements for XX high-speed railway, and put forward a comprehensive communication system integration construction plan. We propose the effective solution in view of the wireless signal coverage, interference and so on in the XX high-speed railway. By summarizing GSM-R as a mobile communication platform specific application in the XX high-speed railway, we put forward the interconnection scheme for GSM-R and train control system, integrated dispatching communication system. In addition, we design for concrete interface specification and technical requirements on the integrated network.The construction schemes we put forward, both satisfy the operation requirements of high speed railway, and further promote China's existing railway communication system. It will lay a solid foundation for China railway comprehensive implementation.
