Heart disease is one of the main diseases which threaten the human life. Electrocardiogram is the comprehensive reflection of the heart's electrical activity in the body surface, which is an important evaluation of cardiac function. With the social development and the strengthening of people's safety awareness, collection of real-time ECG signal waveform from body shows more drawbacks. In recent years, micro-electronics technology, computer hardware and software technology and digital signal processing technology has made significant developments. It has great significance to research an ECG signal generator system which has a simple structure, reliable performance and the adjustable parameters.This thesis presents a scheme of the adjustable parameter ECG signal generator system based on DSP and MCU. According to the characteristics of the human ECG signals, the ECG dynamic model is choosen to be the ECG algorithm. The high-performance digital signal processor TMS320VC5409 is the core of the system which produces ECG signal and export digital waveforms of ECG. And then the digital signal is transformed into analog waveforms of ECG through the D/A converter—TLC320AD50C. The adjustment of ECG waveforms is realized by the keyboards which are controlled by MCU AT89S52. Through the keyboard control chip HD7279A, the MCU realizes the connection with the keyboard and changes the parameters of ECG to output different waveforms of ECG. At the same time, the MCU realizes the connection with the LCD MGLS240128T, and realizes the display of the information related to the ECG signal. This system uses DSP and MCU as the core of the system. It makes full use of good points of DSP and MCU, and makes the system to be faster and higher reliability. According to the ECG dynamic model, using the method of simulating atrial fibrillation can output the ECG waveforms which are more true to life. In addition, through adjusting the parameters, not only the normal but also the abnormal ECG waveforms can be output. The system has more versatility in producing ECG waveforms.Through the hardware and software debugging, the ECG signal generator designed in this thesis can finally output normal ECG waveforms, and by changing the parameters can chang the shape of the ECG waveform.
