Design And Implementation, Based On B / S Three-tier Structure Of Oa System

The Browser/Server (B/S) mode is widely adopted in Office Automation (OA) systems with the rapid development of Internet techniques. The applications based on Web are urgent. The techniques of database should integrate with Web techniques to have broad prospect. The development of database applications based on Web is the trend of software development. The designation and implementation of OA system based on B/S 3-layer framework is designed and implemented in this paper. The B/S framework is adopted in this application according to the practical requirement of Si Chuan Electro-Mechanical Institute. This application is a standard 3-layer system for the reason that the application runs at the server side and the Web explorer works as its user interface. The system has the advantage of light load, good openness and convenience of maintenance.The main work of this paper:1. The software development techniques based on B/S mode is adopted in this paper. ASP.NET is a internet programming technique invented by Microsoft. The dynamic Web applications can be developed high-efficiently by ASP.NET through Object Orientated Programming (OOP). ASP.NET also provides effective methods to develop dynamic, interactive and efficient Web management information systems.2. Functions included in this system are: 1) system administration; 2) file administration; 3) notice administration; 4) internal mail administration; 5) files and notices can be viewed by authorization.3. The main techniques and features of this system: 1) the convenience. The users can login the system by internet explorer while the maintenance and development is at server side. The system has the advantage of friendly interface and easy to use. 2) real-time data sharing. The legal users can be served with different information service to meet the different demands. 3) high security. This system is based on Windows NT server and IIS security policy which are the basic guarantee of the security of this system.This system is now working well in Si Chuan Electro-Mechanical Institute. The OA system has the advantages of convenience and speed in contrast with the traditional management information systems. This system has changed the original closing, single management mode to make the management level and quality step a new stage. I understand and master the technique of ASP.NET through this system to develop the database applications based on Web. It is precious experiences for me.
