With the vigorous development of education in China, universities and colleges have been expanding. As a result, the number of graduates keeps rising, which requires that universities and colleges work more efficiently and standardize in graduates employment. In order to improve the employment rate for universities and recruitment efficiency for employers, the graduates administration departments of colleges need to solve the problems especially concerning how to improve information access to graduates employment and satisfying both employers and graduates who are hunting-jobs.This paper introduces the background and significance of graduates management, analyzes the characteristics of the current graduates management, discusses the practical demand for graduates management in the Employment Guiding Center in Sichuan Normal University Chengdu College, designs and implements a information management system for the graduates. The system uses the popular J2EE technology as its overall architecture, and combines four-layer J2EE architecture with MVC design pattern. It achieves the separation of performance logic and business logic which facilitates the development and maintenance of the system. It also adopts the open source JBOSS SEAM as the application server and integrates Apache-Tomcat as a Web server. Besides, its performance is mainly conducted by the JSP page which completes user interaction with the system. As for business logic processing, it is achieved by the EJB component package.Users of the system are divided into three types:students, enterprise representatives and administrators. Users can access the system via their own address or passwords to operate the system. Functions of the system mainly include three parts: career guidance and management, recruitment management, and system management. The system covers many functional modules, such as graduate management, employers management, contract management, statistics report, recruitment management, statistics of employment, enrollments check, rights management, system configuration, system status and log management etc. This paper describes the system development and implementation process from following aspects: requirements modeling, detailed design, component development, data access to the system deployment. The system can manage graduates employment comprehensively, provide convenient and efficient service for the employment of graduates and recruitment of employees, and improve the efficiency of employment guidance.
