Design And Realization Of An Expansive Network Management Software In GPON System

As China's deep deveropment of "Fiber replace copper " process goes on, in the aspects such as service bearing, bandwidth upgrades and network maintenance, the advantage of PON network are gradually accepted by telecommunication operators. Recently, a number of major operators worldwide appied GPON technology to enterprises, made the GPON access solutions became the star technology of enterprise access solution. Compared with other access technologies, GPON has the advantages of a more flexible service deployment, more sophisticated bandwidh management, higher reliability, better maintenance management, etc. In order to give full play to these merits, a sound and efficient network management solution program is of essence.In order to achieve the goal of an efficient and pefect network management system, this paper firstly analyzed and studied the working principle of the GPON system and some relevant protocols established under this hierarchy, then explored the infrastructure of SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol), obtained the overall solution of management for this system. Carefully designed major modules of GPON network management software, at the base of the above progress, this paper proposed a variaty of methods to realize an expansive network management software. At last, we realized a graphical management software which is more or less expansive by coding. The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1. In-depth analyzed the overall structure of the GPON system, transmission characteristics and some related important protocols, made clear of some important notions and technical features under this hierarchy, analyzed this kind of system at the level of network Management case;2. Analyzed various parts of SNMP protocol, especially the SMI and MIB, and the message format which is used for communication in relation to this protocol, proposed the programming method which could realize SNMP function, analyzed OMCI protocol, and gives the relationship of the conversion and mapping between SNMP and the OMCI;3. According to the infrastructure of GPON Management System, by uing the Modularization method, this paper analyzed,desighed,and realized various components of the magement software.Especially in reference to conceptual model, it proposed some expansive.designing methods and new ideas, this is the innovation of this paper, at the same time, based on actual project requirements, this paper realized various modules which is needed, reached the so-called configuration management, performance management, security management and fault management's requirements, this is the difficulty for this paper and the project in progress. The final software is simple and convenient , it can be further modified, expanded and strengthened during the process of practical applications.
