Design And Implemention Of Input Method Based On SCIM

At present, compared with the Windows operating system, Linux has less input method. If the Linux operating system can achieve freely a new Chinese characters input method, it can provide users with new examples, thus enriching Linux's input methods.Firstly, this paper introduces technologies related the Linux input method, including the characteristics of SCIM framework, SCIM input method system structure and the aspect of Chinese characters input method development environment.Secondly, it presents the design of an input method based on SCIM framework, including SCIM structure analysis, design method of the input method based on the SCIM, and functional design and data structure of an sample - Zongheng Chinese characters input method.Finally it realizes the Zongheng input method based on Linux and introduces its factory module, engine instance module and data search module.This paper can enrich Linux input methods and provides an economic and convenient input method for different users. Othermore, it promotes the Linux operating system and the aspect of Chinese characters input method's popularity.
