XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language) is an extensible XML language in the field of financial extensions. It can identify and analyse the specific financial statements, and provide powerful classification function according to the financial data. There are many advantages about XBRL technology.It is convenient to define financial information.simplifies the compiling of the financial statements, reduces the cost of the information exchange and improves the veracity and reliability of business report. The important value of financial data is on the analysis and mining and obtains useful decision support.However on the hand XBRL intance can not be shown as a human readable way,so there isn't advantages about the financial analysis; on the other hand XBRL is the extension for the XML language, and the solution that uses the relational database to store and query XML data cannot be directly used for the management of the XBRL data, and the existing mining tools are mostly matching relational database. So the research focus is to explore a storage and analysis model for XBRL instance based on JAVA technology and implement it.Firstly this paper studied the XBRL specification, taxonomy, instance and the related XML technology which provide an important technical support for the XBRL storage and analysis system. Secondly by comparing among many storage ways, the relational database is selected as a storage medium and the system structure is designed.Then, the paper summarizes that the latest taxonomy is with the theme of physical structure and modeling of logical structure, so multi-dimension data modeling is proposed based on the relational databases and the database details are designed. Finally, the XBRL taxonomy and instace transferred engine are achieved by using the XQuery technology, and financial data in the relational database is analyzed and output.
