In recent years, the popularization of the Internet and the increasing of internet user number brought great convenience to our life and work. However, the development of the Internet just as other technologies, which is a double-edged sword. It brings us many problems in the process of development. Especially after the coming of Web2.0, many problems became more acute up. Internet privacy and personal data protection are one of the most representative issues of these problems.At present, China does not have any law for the protection of Internet privacy and it even cannot be defined clearly. There did not format any unified network privacy protection standards. So this right can be protected by self-restraint and self-protection only. Although a number of academics and experts have make an extensive and in-depth study on the issue, and a series of solutions were proposed, the problem has not been settled well. Moreover, with the rapid development of the Internet, and the emergence of Web2.0, bringing new challenges to the problem of privacy protection.The protection of privacy and personal data in the Web2.0 environment is even more widespread concern. This paper demonstrates the connotation and extension of Internet privacy of civil in the method of logical reasoning. Investigating and analyzing situation about privacy protection problem on the internet. Researching the practice of European and American's personal data protection experience. Finally, designing a set of mechanism for protecting personal data.This paper has five chapters. The chapter 1 introduces research background, literature, as well as research contents and methods; the chapter 2 gives the definition of internet privacy, Web2.0 and other basic concepts and then analyze them; the chapter 3,analyzing the way of personal data accessing in the web2.0 environment; The chapter 4,analyzing the U.S. and EU's personal data protection mode; The chapter 5, analyzing the domestic status of personal data protection; The chapter 5 presents a complete set of personal data protection mechanism.
