The Research Of Public Archives' Social Responsibility

This article concerns the method of positioning and realize the Chinese public archives' social responsibility under the background of social informatization, politic democratization and economic globalization. The author carried out researches by the use of literature study method, comparison analysis method, qualitative analysis method and inter-discipline subject comparison analysis method combining the advantages and characteristics of the public archives in social information service system. Firstly, the definition, nature, subject and object and the main contents of the social responsibility of the public archives are analyzed comprehensively; secondly, the current utilization conditions of domestic public archives and other cultural institutes such as public library and museum, etc, are compared to provide theoretic and data support for the reasonable social responsibility orientation of the public archives based on its advantages; and finally, the specific contents of the social responsibility of the public archives are oriented definitely based on the compassion results as mentioned before and the specific approaches for the realization of the social responsibility of the public archives are put forward to. This topic is to realize innovation based on the existed theory of this discipline and through comparing the research results of related disciplines, so as to propose the realization approach based on the defined orientation of the social responsibility of Chinese public archives.
