With the rapid development of science and technology, the world has entered into information age. Electromagnetic environment in the limited space is seriously polluted by the application of various electronics products. Electromagnetic interference not only affects the performance of electronic equipment, but also is harmful to the health of human. It is well known that EMI exists in two types: radiation and conduction. Electromagnetic shield is usually used to prevent radiation of EMI. And for conduction of EMI, filtering is the most effective measure of protection. It is the"window"of EMI entry and exit for electronic and electrical equipment at the interface. So the connectors with filtering features can greatly conform to electromagnetic compliance (EMC) of electronic products.Based on the practical engineering and related filter theory, this paper describes the whole process from design of product to application. Right magnetic components and capacitive component are chosen to design the power supply filter assembly that settled customer's electromagnetic compatibility.In the end, a broadband-peak-power-supply filter assembly is made, it's performance indexes are as follows: voltage between line and line is 100VDC, voltage between line and shell is 500VDC, the insulation resistance is more that 100MΩ. The key to filtering is insertion loss. The insertion loss at 100kHZ is 25dB, at 1MHz is more that 50dB. The insertion loss between 1MHz and 1GHz is more that 30dB.
