In recent years, Social protection work as an important part of implementing scientific outlook and building a socialist harmonious society, has coursed widespread concern, and also been put forward higher requirements. Based on the building a sound social protection system, relying on the means of information and providing technical support, scientifically and effectively managing all kinds of information and according to this information make scientific decision and improve the social protection system.The establishing social protection system of China has been ten years of development, and has achieved important results, Established a social pooling and individual accounts for basic old-age insurance and basic medical insurance system, contain Pension, health care, unemployment, work injury and maternity insurance, and the coverage is still expending. With the constant improvement of labor and social protection system and long-term application of social protection information system, the amount of system data is growing largely .An example to the GuiYang social protection bureau, the amount of system data has reached early T stage. Further analyzing the system data, translate a large number of unordered data into a scientific and objective knowledge. It's the needs of social protection information management system and the direction of future development of Social protection work. The knowledge implying in the data, has an important role and significance in assisted decision-making process, raising the level of fund supervision, raising the level of protection, sound management and service system, etc.Under the background of medical insurance business, an objective of this thesis is initial build a data warehouse platform based on Oracle. It includes building data warehouse, displaying OLAP results and data mining research.In thesis, firstly introduces the research background, research significance, domestic and international research status and purpose of research., secondly, combining with the needs of social protection , summarizes Data Warehouse, OLAP and Data Mining related technologies. By researching on the technology and understanding of the medical insurance business of social security, this paper designs data warehouse oriented medical single disease subject and active staff medical fund levy subject. It includes design objective, description of overall design and the overall technical architecture. This paper discusses the implementation of medical single disease subject and active staff medical fund levy subject based on the Oracle data warehouse platform. Focus on studying the establishment of Data Warehouse Model, OLAP Model and Data Mining Model. Researching and analyzing the characteristic of o-clustering algorithm, and its application in the ODM.
