So how to management and control the multi-media session become the key technology to develop rich applications and service. We used the H.323 to control the multi-media session in the traditional Public Switched Telephone Network(PSTN) while the popular and simple Session Initiation Protocol(SIP) in the IP network. Consequently, the network operators must realize the signal interworking between Integrated Services Digital Network User Part(ISUP) and IP network, which is the basis for developing multi-media applications support for SIP protocol and SIP terminal.This thesis is based on the Integrated Programmed Switch(IPS) which is product of Eastcom Co. Ltd. Three kinds of SIP application models are designed on the premise that IPS supports for the Bearer Independent Call Control(BICC). Due to the background program, the IPS could support the essential SIP application models finally. The main tasks and achievement are as follow: After learning about the function, software and hardware components of IPS200. It proposed the background way to communicate with IPS through the ICP tunnel and developed the SIP application models; Working deep in the system configuration and feature of BICC and SIP. In addition, focus on the transformation standard between BICC and SIP messages. With adopting the background way to communicate with the IPS that can send, modify and transmit the SIP messages indirectly; First of all, the thesis not only proposed the conversation flow of SIP audio/video call but also the program in detail; Then adding the multi-media ring to the SIP audio/video call and improving the program accordingly, the debugging result was satisfied; Analyzing the centralized conferencing for SIP point for point.
