The Design And Implementation Of The Institute's Intant Messaging Based On FMS

With the development of internet,how to communicate with each other easily and conveniently is more necessary and important.Today, based on C/S structure of the instant messaging system(such as QQ,MSN etc.),although it can provide better interactivity, But causes an excessive burden on the client and high maintenance costs.In this case, Research and development an instant messaging system based on B / S structure is meaningful,it aimes at reducing the burden on the client and software maintenance costs, and it can adapt to a variety of operating systems,so that users can use it more easily.In this thesis, I studied Instant Messaging and did some research on the Institute's Instant Messaging's business needs, then I conducted a detailed needs analysis for the Institute's Instant Messaging. On the basis of the needs analysis, I decided to use the following method.The system uses Flex tethnology to make up the front stage interface, it provides a rich interface components which can achieve a powerful expression and visual effects. And use the J2EE technology to compose the backstage, it's open-source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, provides a good solution for my thesis. LiveCycle Data Service(LCDS) is used to communicate between Flex and J2EE. On this basis, through the functional structure design and process data design, I completed the IM's main functions.In the audio and video communication module, I used the Flash Media Server(FMS),it is a new communication platform between users,it provides real-time audio and real-time video data streams,it is a leading solution in the field of Instant Messaging.The Institute's Intant Messaging based on FMS is useful.It has a good interaction between human and computer.And because the architecture has more maintainability and strongly scalability,this system can be added more extensions in the future,such as file transfer,mail services, and community services etc,to develop functional RIA applications.
