Research And Implementation Of Android Instant Messaging System Based On XMPP

With the rapid development of communication technology and network technology, Instant Communication systems are widely used. These systems can not only enrich the individual network life, but also improve company work efficiency. QQ and MSN are widely used domestically and abroad. However, these IM systems can not communicate with each other because of their different communication protocols. The appearance and application of e Xtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol break this situation.XMPP is an open XML(e Xtensible Markup Language) protocol, mainly used to achieve the real-time messaging and requesting response services. XMPP adds a Jingle protocol to support connection-oriented services, such as voice and video. Google Talk is a Instant Communication software which is based on XMPP protocol. Skype, MSN and Facebook have recently announced that they can support the XMPP protocol.This paper studies the implementation of enterprise Instant Messaging software which based on XMPP protocol, the main contents are as follows:(1) According to the design requirements of enterprise instant messaging system, we build development environment for Android application, design each module function respectively;(2) According to the open source library asmack of XMPP protocol, we realize the function of each module of the system, such as the user registration,user login, mail list management, real-time messaging;(3) We build test platform for Android application and design concrete test cases for testing software to verify each module function.This paper tries to research and implement the enterprise Instant Messaging software based on XMPP protocol. Enterprise Instant Messaging software can not only enhance the employee’s work efficiency, but also improve enterprise operation and management mode.
